Port Moody and Coquitlam will host the province’s largest BC Day event, Celebrate BC, over two days in August to celebrate the people, cultures, communities and experiences that make British Columbia unique.

Celebrate BCÂ brings together Indigenous communities, newcomers and long-time British Columbians in a shared celebration of the province’s diverse heritage while providing affordable, accessible experiences for families.
Taking place August 1 at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody and August 3 at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam, Celebrate BC has been designed as an affordable, family-friendly celebration that invites residents and visitors from across the province to enjoy two unforgettable days of entertainment, culture, food and community spirit.
BC Day in Port Moody
The festivities begin Saturday, August 1, from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Port Moody with:
- Blueberry pancake breakfast
- Canoe paddle adventures
- Indigenous artisan market
- Traditional bannock
- Live entertainment
- Family-friendly activities and cultural demonstrations
The celebration continues on Monday, August 3, from 11:00am to 7:00pm in Coquitlam with an expanded lineup featuring:
- BC’s Largest Wild Salmon Barbecue
- The popular Fast & Furriest Corgi and Wiener Dog Races
- Live music and cultural performances
- Interactive activities for all ages
- Local food vendors
- The return of the Beautiful BC Photo Contest presented by Sony
With affordability in mind, every food vendor will once again offer at least one $10 menu item, allowing families to enjoy a full day of activities and meals at an accessible price point.
This celebration of British Columbia’s diverse culture and communities is made possible through the partnership and guidance of the Kwikwetlem and Tsleil-Waututh people.
