Free Summer Movies Around Vancouver
In Vancouver, the most popular summer movie events are in Stanley Park. This is part of the EVO Summer Cinema and event dates, from July to September, will be posted online.
The Downtown Vancouver BIA hosts free movies in the heart of the city at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly known as the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza) on Thursday nights in July and August.
In Surrey, Movies Under the Stars take place in Holland Park by King George Station and take place on Saturday afternoons and evenings in August.
In Burnaby, Summer Cinema hosts family film events at Civic Square on Friday nights and continues at Confederation Park on Saturday evenings this August.
In North Vancouver, the Polygon Gallery hosts Deckchair Cinema on 10 Thursdays between June and August. Admission is by donation and included popcorn and access to the gallery’s exhibitions.
